Casa Ogee
Casa ogee follows the natural formation of the steep cliff in which the plot is. It is a caved house in complete harmony with the existing nature, minimizing its footprint on the site. The main and largest zone with only one visible façade, is looking towards the Ionian sea and the two main functions, public and private zones are rotated to ensure more privacy and freer movements. More rooms following the same principals have been designed and planned on the upper level, to accommodate more people.
The interior receives plenty of natural light thought the day by the light wells that have been designed along the back part of the structure. In many cases these light well are planted giving an extra view frame as well, bringing nature closer to the interior.
The natural stone cladding and wicker pergolas of the façade match the tones and textures of the land around it making it appear as if the house is only adding to the scenery and not taking anything away from it, as it is “buried “ in the mountain.
