located in pelekas, on the western side of corfu, the property is characterized by its steep natural slope and existing olive trees. the different levels of the terrain create a unique setting where stone terraces, landscaped gardens, and mediterranean vegetation come together, allowing the residence to sit naturally within the hillside.
the architectural design takes inspiration from the traditional stone terraces found throughout corfu’s agricultural landscape. following the steep slope of the terrain, the residence is arranged across different levels, with stone walls extending beyond the building to create a natural connection with the hillside.
the use of local materials, planted roofs, and simple contemporary forms allows the architecture to blend into its surroundings, while generous openings and outdoor living areas bring the landscape into everyday life.
