Maceria

Maceria is located in the north part of corfu, overlooking the ioanian sea and the costaline.

Goal of the design was to keep intact the quality of the landscape and preserve the majority of the original elements, the rock formations and the olive trees that can be found inside the plot. Natural materials have been selected in order to integrate smoothly into the environment and always with respect to the Corfiot identity and traditions.

The central idea is the creation of a residence that follows the morphology of the terrain, oriented towards to the view of the sea. The main feature is the expansion of the borders and the connection with the morphological analysis of the surrounding space through various design elements.

One of the most outstanding volums is The pool, in a more organic shape, extends in front of the living room, adapted to the morphological fluidity of the surroundings, adding to the coherency of the design.
