Amemto
Located in the central west part of Corfu, Amemto is designed to accommodate the needs of its residents and mary modern living and the principals of the traditional Ionian architecture as the aim of the project was to create a design that compliments and enhances the quality of the Corfiot landscape.
On the highest level, three different sized interconnected volumes form the main living space and provide panoramic views of the west coast of the island, complimented by a series of pergolas surrounding them to intensify that feeling and smoothly transition to the outdoor living space.
Natural materials such as wood, aged bricks and forged cement are used both in the interior and exterior areas to blur the boundaries between spaces. In the outdoors area, the pool is strategically positioned to create the illusion that it blends with the infinite Ionian blue sea.
Due to the steep slope of the plot a subterranean part has been added to accommodate the bedrooms and an independent caved guest house, painted in the warm and earthy colors of the local palette.
